If as a customer you are dealing as a consumer in relation to Panks Engineers Ltd these standard conditions of sale will not affect the customers’ statutory rights. In this clause the words 'deal as a consumer' shall mean that the customer does not buy or hold himself out to buy the goods in the course of business.
If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase from Panks Engineers Ltd you may return your purchased product within 7 working days of receipt as directed by the distant selling regulations. We will refund the purchase price upon receipt of the goods, providing that the product is in a resalable, unused condition. This means that the product is not damaged, has not been used in any way and that the product is returned complete with the original pristine condition packaging. These Terms and Conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a customer.
All returns delivery postage/packaging costs are your liability.
If you wish to cancel your order please telephone or email sales@panks.co.uk immediately providing your order number, account reference and details of the goods you wish to cancel before 3pm on the day of the original order.
If you want to cancel your order and the goods have been dispatched, it will be your responsibility to return the order to us, covering the total costs of doing so. Suitable packaging is the responsibility of the customer. Credit for the purchase price will only be issued upon satisfactory receipt and inspection of the goods by Panks Engineers Ltd or its representative. If the goods are not accepted by Panks Engineers Ltd full liability for all costs involved remains with the purchaser.
Credit/Debit cards orders will only be refunded on to the same card that the order was placed with. If the order was placed on the internet Panks Engineers Ltd have no access to the credit card details and it will take a short while to confirm the original card details used. Please note it can take up to 5 working days for money to be refunded by your debit/credit card provider after we have processed any credit/refund.
The warranty period of any product starts from the dispatch date. Any amendment to this can only ever be requested and agreed in writing before an order is placed.
The warranty is issued by the manufacturer. We comply with the manufacturer’s policies and instructions and any warranty claim will follow these and can take up to two working weeks after receipt of the warranty item.
The manufacturer will decide if a warranty is accepted and their decision is final; as is the way a warranty item is handled. This could either be a replacement, credit or repair. If a product needs to be returned for inspection this is the responsibility of the customer. The total liability of the sale of contract is limited to the monies paid by the buyer and we cannot be held liable for indirect, consequential or any other losses the customer believes he has suffered.
If an item is found to be damaged or faulty on receipt of goods (within the conditions of the manufacturer's warranty) you must notify us in writing immediately and provide us with your order number and customer reference. Please email sales@panks.co.uk.
If the item has been damaged in transit it should be refused at delivery point. We will then arrange for the return of the item which must be returned in its original condition, including packaging. If the item does appear damaged on arrival please contact us immediately and if you are able, please take pictures of the damage and the packaging. Please examine all deliveries immediately. Please check carefully the delivery, quantities and items enclosed and contact us immediately by e-mail sales@panks.co.uk or telephone 01603 620294 if you think that items are incorrect or missing. We are unable to make corrections after 3 working days of the receipt of the order.
Please contact us if you think your order has not arrived by the anticipated due date so that we can make enquiries of the courier.
Restocking charges will apply. For stock items a customer wishes to return a minimum charge of 35% of the original invoice cost will apply. We will not take any items back without specific written agreement being given in advance. All items proposed for return and re stock charge must be in pristine condition, fit for re-sale, as new and in the original undamaged packaging with all the issued paper work.
If a product has been made to order or is bespoke no changes or cancellation of the order can be made. The same applies to specially manufactured items and bought in items and none of the above are able to be returned for credit.
